GENERAL INFORMATION:
Games will be played at the Winged Deer Park and/or Metro/Kiwanis Park.
Coaches will receive tickets in their check-in packet for each of their players to attend the picnic on Friday. The picnic tent will be set up at the pavilion in front the press box. The time for the food will be from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
The coaches will select an All-Tournament Team. After each game, each head coach will nominate one player from their team and one player from the opposing team. These nominations (responsibility of head coach) are to be turned in immediately after the game at the check-in tent beside the concession stand.
Food concessions will be available.
Science Hill Softball Boosters will have tournament programs & tournament shirts for sale. Pre-order and pricing to be announced.

ADMISSION:
$TBA for a tournament pass. Team rosters and a coaching staff list need to be provided. Anyone not on your list will have to buy a pass. Rosters and coaching staff list can be emailed to higginsj@jcschools.org. Include all players, coaches, managers, and statisticians. School-age children and up must buy pass.

DIRECTIONS to Metro/Kiwanis Park FROM I-81:
From I-81, take Exit 57A onto I-26 East to Johnson City.
From I-26 East, take exit #19/State of Franklin.
Turn right at end of ramp and go to the second light (Knob Creek Road).
Turn left, continue on Knob Creek Road through the second light.
Drive 1/2 mile turn left on Guaranda Drive.
Metro/Kiwanis Park entrance will be on the right.
DIRECTIONS to Kiwanis Park FROM I-81:
From I-81, take Exit 57A onto I-26 East to Johnson City.
From I-26 East, take exit #19/State of Franklin.
Turn right at end of ramp and go to the second light (Knob Creek Road).
Turn left, continue on Knob Creek Road through the third light.
Pass through the third light and Kiwanis Park is on the left.
TOURNAMENT RULES:
1. Team with lowest team number (assigned) takes the 3rd base dugout.
2. Coin flip will determine "Home" team. The home team will keep the official scorebook.
3. Official start time determined by site director.
4. After all games are played, each team will be seeded TBA. Seeds TBA will play double elimination and Seeds TBA will play double elimination.
5. In pool games, no new inning will start after 1 hour & 15 minutes have been played unless game is tied. If game is tied see Rule 6 below. Innings already in
progress at the 1 hr. & 15 minute mark will be completed.
6. If game is tied after 1 hour & 15 minutes of play (or the completion of the inning started before the 1 hour and 15 min.), 1 inning of sudden death will be
played, using the international tiebreaker rule. If game still ends in a tie each team will get credit for a win.
7. All pool games will be stopped after 1 hour & 30 minutes, provided the inning is complete, and winner will be declared as follows:
- Team ahead on the scoreboard at that time will be declared the winner.
- All runs scored to that point count in the final score.
- If score is tied both teams are credited with a win.
8. Mercy rule will apply after:
- 4 innings of play if one team is 10 or more runs ahead.
9. Rules to determine seeding after pool play is completed:
- Won/lost record in pool play.
- Head to head results.
- Runs scored against your team in pool play.
- Runs scored in pool play.
- Won/lost record against higher seeded teams.
- Runs scored against your team versus higher seeded teams.
- Runs scored versus higher seeded teams.
- Coin flip if above doesn’t determine seeding.
CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND SELECTION:
1. After pool play, teams will be seeded TBA.
2. Seeds TBA will play double elimination.
3. Seeds TBA will play double elimination.
CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND PLAY:
1. Team with higher seed takes the 3rd base dugout.
2. Higher seed will determine "Home" team, which will also be the official scorebook.
3. All games in Championship Round Play will follow the same rules as in pool play.
4. Teams not able to finish the championship brackets will forfeit scholarship money.
5. For the scholarships to be awarded, each division must be down to the final 4 teams.
SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS:
The intention of these scholarships is for each school to use academic achievement as one of the primary criteria when awarding it to a player.
An alternate Championship Format will be used if there are less than 16 teams participating.
